Clinicoid is your own faculty's material, in your pocket, marked the way your faculty marks it. Four parts, and this page is the short version of all of them.

What Clinicoid is

It holds the exams your department has already set and the books it set them from, organised by module, subject and topic. You sit the papers, it marks them — every question type, written answers included — and it tells you in marks where you stand and what to do next. Alongside that sits Coid, which answers questions out of your own material and shows you the page it used.

It is for undergraduate medical students, free at every faculty, and it is only useful because it is narrow: it is built around one syllabus — Kasr Al Ainy's — rather than around medicine in general. Which also means it refuses a few things on purpose. It is not a general question bank, it will not invent a question to fill a gap, and it is not a clinical tool — nothing in it is advice about a real patient. A tutor that has read your module's books and nothing else, and shows you the page every answer came from.

Question types

Five, and all five are marked. An app that carries only multiple choice has quietly dropped the half of your paper you are most likely to lose marks on.

How your material gets in

Nothing appears in Clinicoid unchecked. A paper is typed up from the exam itself, question by question, with its figures cropped from the page they were printed on. Explanations are drafted with AI help against the module's own books, and a person checks them before anybody sits them.

Where we cannot be sure, we say so rather than filling the gap — a question with no official answer key is shown as a question with no official answer key.

The paper — the question as it was set, in its own words, worth what it was worth.
The module's books — the notes and textbooks your department set — the source an explanation has to be traceable to.
A person — someone reads the question, the key and the explanation together before it is published.
You — every question has a report button. What you send is read by a person, and it is how most errors get found.

Where it runs

iPhone and iPad — one app, laid out for the screen it is on — a tablet gets two columns rather than a stretched phone.
Android phones and tablets — the same, and the same app: there is no cut-down version of Clinicoid for either platform.
Signal that comes and goes — a message written offline sends itself when you surface, and a paper you have already opened keeps working. Marking a written answer and asking Coid are the things that need a connection at that moment.
