Terms of Use

• Clinicoid is a study aid. It is not medical advice and must never be used to treat a patient.
• Coid is an AI. It can be wrong. Check anything that matters against your book.
• Material that was already free, you may pass on freely. Sharing the account itself, or handing on our own work and what a subscription pays for, is the one thing that will end it.
• Be decent to other students. Abusive or objectionable content is not tolerated on Clinicoid: it is filtered out, removed when reported, and the accounts that post it are closed.

By creating an account or using Clinicoid you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.

You must be at least 16 years old. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must read and agree to these terms on your behalf.

• Give us accurate details when you sign up, including a university ID that is genuinely yours.
• One account per person. Keep your password to yourself.
• You are responsible for what happens on your account. If you think somebody else is in it, sign that device out in Settings › Devices and change your password.
• We limit how many devices one account can be signed in on. That limit is what stops one subscription being shared around a year group.

Questions, explanations, model answers and AI replies are study material. They may contain mistakes, they may be out of date, and they may not match what your own examiners expect. Your book and your faculty are the authority; this app is not.

Using Clinicoid does not create a doctor–patient relationship or any professional relationship of any kind.

Coid is a large language model answering in its own words. It is genuinely useful and it is genuinely fallible: it can state something confidently and be wrong, cite a page that does not say what it claims, or miss a detail that matters.

• Check anything you are going to rely on against the source it points at.
• Do not type patient information, or anyone else’s medical or personal details, into a chat.
• Do not use Coid to produce work you then present as your own where your university forbids it. That is between you and your faculty, and their rules come first.
• Do not try to make Coid produce illegal, harmful or abusive content, and do not attempt to work around its limits.

If Coid gives you an answer that is wrong, offensive or unsafe, tell us from Menu › Contact us. We read every one of those.

Clinicoid contains course material — books, lectures, notes, past papers, recordings and figures — together with questions, explanations and other work we produced. Some of it belongs to us. Some of it belongs to your university, your department, a publisher or an author, and reaches you through the app.

While your account is in good standing, we give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use all of it for your own study, on your own devices. That is the whole of the permission.

Material that was already free before it reached Clinicoid stays free. A book or a lecture your faculty hands out, a past paper that circulates openly, anything published for anyone to take — it does not become ours because you happened to open it here, and we do not stop you passing it on. Share it with whoever you like. What follows is about our own work, and about anything a subscription pays for.

You may not:

• copy, upload, re-post or forward our own work or paid material anywhere outside the app — including study groups, cloud drives, channels and messaging apps;
• sell it, or use it to run a course, a revision service or a channel of your own;
• record the screen, bulk-export, scrape or automate your way through the app;
• remove or hide any credit, watermark or attribution;
• get around any limit, lock or paywall, or help anybody else to.

If you believe something in Clinicoid infringes your copyright, write to us at support@clinicoid.com with enough detail to identify the work and where it appears, and we will take it down while we look into it.

Clinicoid has chats, groups and profiles. What you write there is yours; you keep it. You give us permission to store it and to show it to the people you sent it to, which is what a messaging feature is.

Do not post, send or share:

• abuse, harassment, threats, or content attacking someone for who they are;
• sexual content, graphic violence, or anything involving a minor;
• a real patient’s photograph, notes or details;
• anyone’s private information, including another student’s;
• spam, scams, malware, or invitations to anything illegal;
• material you do not have the right to share, including paid course content.

There is no tolerance for any of this. Messages, photo captions, group names, bios and usernames are checked automatically for offensive language, in English and in Arabic (including Arabic written in Latin letters), and what fails the check is not sent or saved. No filter catches everything, which is why the next two tools exist.

Every message, photo, profile and Coid answer has a Report option in the app. Reports come straight to us and we review them promptly. You can also block anyone from their profile, which stops their messages and their friend requests at once.

When something breaks these rules we remove it, and we suspend or close the account that posted it.

We do not read private conversations routinely and we do not want to. We look at what is reported to us, and at what we must look at to keep people safe or to obey the law. The language check above is done by software, on your phone and on our server; no person reads your messages to run it, and a message it refuses is not kept.

Clinicoid has a free tier and a paid subscription. Some features are metered — AI answers in particular — and the app shows you what you have used before you run out.

• Purchases made in the iPhone app are processed by Apple through the App Store, and purchases made in the Android app by Google Play, each under its own terms. We never see your card details.
• Clinicoid Pro is a monthly subscription that renews automatically until you cancel it. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account when you confirm the purchase, and again at each renewal unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; a subscription Clinicoid granted you directly can be cancelled from Billing in the app.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, under their own refund policies. If a purchase is refunded, we may withdraw what it gave you.
• Prices and what each plan includes can change. We will tell you before a change affects a subscription you are already paying for.

We will do our best to keep Clinicoid available and correct, but we cannot promise it will never be down, never lose a request, or always be right. We add, change and remove features as the app develops, and we may need to interrupt it for maintenance.

Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. The app is a place to study, not the only place your work should exist.

You can stop using Clinicoid whenever you like, and you can delete your account from Settings › Personal info › Delete account. It is immediate and it cannot be reversed — the Privacy Policy sets out exactly what goes and the little we are required to keep.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is being shared, that is redistributing our own work or what a subscription pays for, or that puts other students at risk. Where it is fair to do so we will warn you first and explain why. For a serious breach — sharing paid material, abusing another student — we may act immediately. If we close a paid account for a breach, we do not refund the remaining time.

Clinicoid is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for exam results, academic decisions, lost work, or anything that follows from relying on the app’s content — including anything Coid told you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us. They are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and its courts have jurisdiction — this does not take away any protection the law of your own country gives you as a consumer.

If a court finds one part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still stands. If we do not enforce something straight away, that does not mean we have given it up.

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes, the new version appears in the app, and for anything significant we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Carrying on using Clinicoid after that means you accept the new version.
